Edward is the Co-Founder and Director of EMF Consultancy, delivering pragmatic, compliance-driven health and safety solutions to organisations across leisure, sport, commercial, and training environments.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, and the Level 4 IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) qualification. His legal education provides a strong foundation in statutory interpretation, regulatory frameworks, and governance — strengthening his ability to guide organisations through complex compliance requirements with clarity and confidence.
With a solid background in training delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management, Edward supports organisations in meeting their legal obligations while embedding practical and sustainable safety systems. His expertise includes risk assessments, COSHH management, fire safety procedures, accident investigation, contractor control, safeguarding, and the development of compliant training and quality assurance frameworks.
Edward is known for translating legislation into clear, workable processes that protect people while supporting operational performance. By combining legal insight with hands-on instructional and compliance experience, he ensures health and safety systems are not only robust on paper but effective in practice — helping organisations operate safely, efficiently, and with confidence.
George Fountain BSC (Hons)

George is the Co-Founder and Director of EMF Consultancy, providing practical, compliance-led safety solutions to organisations operating in leisure, sport, and commercial environments.
With a strong background in operational leadership and technical compliance, George specialises in helping businesses meet their statutory obligations while creating safe, efficient, and high-performing workplaces. He holds the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, along with IPAF and PASMA certifications, and brings extensive real-world experience managing complex facilities, safety-critical systems, and large operational teams.
Throughout his career, George has been responsible for full Health & Safety compliance across multi-use sports facilities, including risk assessments, fire safety management, safeguarding, contractor management, permit-to-work systems, accident reporting and investigation, working at height, pool plant operations, and statutory inspection regimes. His approach combines technical expertise with operational understanding — ensuring safety systems are not only compliant, but practical, effective, and embedded into day-to-day operations.
Jonathan Wheeler
Health & Safety Consultant
Jonathan has been working in health and safety since 2016 when he achieved his NEBOSH certificate and later his NEBOSH construction certificate. His early career was spent in the family safety business conducting training and consulting services for a variety of industries from healthcare to warehousing. This background gave him the foundation and underpinning knowledge.
As well as the NEBOSH certificates, Jonny holds an Award in Adult Education, Safer Manual and People Handling Train the Trainer and is currently an RTITB Registered Instructor. Other areas of experience are using Scissor Lifts and Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, Abrasive Wheels and Fire Safety. He has had a significant amount both practical and theoretical aspects of health and safety work from conducting audits and inspections to writing safety management systems and Risk assessments.
After learning the ropes in the family business Jonny was a Workplace Trainer for around a year for ROSPA then Joined DHL Supply Chain as a Safety and Compliance Manager for approximately 5 years managing safety for a variety of sites mostly in the aviation and Home products warehousing. During his time at DHL he oversaw the safety management for multiple sites at a time and lead the ISO 45001 accreditation for the Gatwick site.
Jonny is best known for his attention to detail and adaptability being able to understand a process quickly and apply an outside view to ensure the best and safest processes can be adopted. He has a wide range of experience in different sectors and understanding the human factors that ensure safety is successful.
